In the 2027 SDEA/NEA Election, there are eight board seat positions open to serve as a SDEA Board of Director and 13 seats open to serve as a 2027 NEA Representative Assembly Delegate.
January 15, 2027 is the last day to notify Stephanie Hageman, SDEA/NEA President of your intent to run for SDEA Board of Director position, At-Large Board of Director position, or as a state-funded delegate to the NEA Representative Assembly (NEA RA).

NEA RA Delegate Election:
Members who wish to serve as a delegate to the 2027 NEA RA must indicate whether they want to be on the ballot as a state delegate and/or as a unit delegate. The NEA annual meeting will be held June 30 – July 4 in Indianapolis, IN. Candidate declarations are due January 15, 2027.
