2026 SDEA/NEA Election

In the 2026 SDEA/NEA Election, there is three officer position and six board seats positions open to serve as a SDEA Board of Director and 13 seats open to serve as a 2026 NEA Representative Assembly Delegate.

January 15, 2026 is the last day to notify Stephanie Hageman, SDEA/NEA President of your intent to run for SDEA Board of Director position, At-Large Board of Director position, or as a state-funded delegate to the NEA Representative Assembly (NEA RA).

SDEA Board of Director positions to be elected:

* Please include 150-word statement* of why you are running for the President, Vice-President and NEA Director position.

NEA RA Delegate Election:

Members who wish to serve as a delegate to the 2026 NEA RA must indicate whether they want to be on the ballot as a state delegate and/or as a unit delegate. The NEA annual meeting will be held July 3 – July 7 in Denver CO. Candidate declarations are due January 15, 2026.

There are 13 seats open for the 2026 NEA RA Delegate election:
