WHAT IS SPARKS?

SPARKS is a fun hands-on training designed to spark interest in the association and develop the leadership potential of our newest and freshest crop of teachers and other educational employees.

SPARKS is targeted specifically at:

u People who are brand new to teaching or other public education work (less than seven years of experience)

u People who have had little or no association experience

u Potential association leaders

SPARKS participants will be engaged in training activities uniquely geared toward their age group and work experience. They are contacted before the training so they can help design their curriculum.

SPARKS participants will experience lots of exploratory discussion, dynamic speakers, a safe place to share the trials and tribulations of being new to education, and a few activities aimed at giving them a positive first contact with the local and state association.

WHAT CAN I DO?
