2012 SDEA/NEA BOD Election

Are you interested in being a bigger part of SDEA/NEA? Do you feel that you have what it takes to be a leader in the organization? Then why not step up to the challenge and join the Board?

The information below will help you understand what is required to run for a leadership position. Download the Affirmation forms and send them in to SDEA by January 17th to be eligible for election.

The openings for the SDEA Board of Directors

  • Black Hills: One 2-year term
  • EGL: One 2-year term
  • Plains: One 2-year term
  • NEL: One 2-year term
  • SECORE: One 2-year term
  • SEKota: Two 2-year terms, One year of a 2-year term
  • ESP At-Large: One 2-year term
  • Minority At-Large: One 2 year term

The NEA Representative Assembly

The NEA Representative Assembly is the democratic body of the National Education Association. Representatives from each of the Governance Districts (listed below) meet with representatives from the all over the country in Washington, DC in July (2012) to vote on what direction the organization will take for the following year.

If you would like to join in this great democratic body, just download the required forms and get them into SDEA by January 17th.
