SDEA Leaders
South Dakota's member educators elect the leaders of SDEA to represent the unified VOICE of South Dakota's Educators. The Association's priorities are determined by delegates who attend the annual Representative Assembly in the Spring of each year. SDEA's leadership is charged with fulfilling SDEA's Vision, Mission, and Values.

Our President

Loren Paul is the President of the South Dakota Education Association. He has been with SDEA since being elected President in July of 2020.

Our Board of Directors

The SDEA Board of Directors consists of educators who represent five regions of South Dakota including teachers, education support specialists, future and retired educators, and those teaching in the state's regental system. It is the policy-making body that sets the priorities for the work we do. Together, the Board of Directors represents the collective voice of educators in South Dakota.
